Pro: personal events & protected links

Install SaveTheDate, configure your first event and add calendar links to confirmations and emails.

Install Pro

Activate Gravity Forms 2.7 or newer, upload the SaveTheDate Pro ZIP and activate it. Pro includes the shared core; Free is not required. If Free is installed, deactivate it after activating Pro. Existing event settings are preserved.

Map your event fields

In the form’s Settings → SaveTheDate, enable the event and choose Entry fields as the event source. Map the start and end Date fields. Timed events also require both Time fields. Use the explicit All-day event setting for all-day entries.

Map optional title, location, description and URL fields as needed. Mapped text is literal and does not evaluate merge tags. Empty or unmapped optional values use the fixed event content.

Where links appear

Entry-specific calendars appear in the originating confirmation or notification. Public shortcodes and the calendar block support fixed events only and do not accept entry IDs. Invalid, ended, disabled, spam or trashed entry events do not produce calendar output.

Protected .ics downloads

A protected link is a bearer credential: anyone who receives it can access the calendar until it expires or is revoked. Do not forward it unless you intend to grant access. Grants expire at event end, capped at one year. Editing an entry revokes its existing links.

Entry detail controls let you revoke links or rotate the current site’s download key. Test your configuration with a real submission before going live.
